Ingenuity of an Igbo Man: Chuka Umunna announces Labour leadership bid in UK

            

Chuka Umunna has announced he is running for the Labour leadership with a rallying cry to party members.

In a video published on Facebook, the Streatham MP confirmed he will seek his party's backing to replace Ed Miliband as leader.

"I'm pleased today to be announcing that I will be standing for the leadership of the party," he said.
Mr Umunna, who is seen as a Blairite moderniser, has been among the favourites for the leadership since Mr Miliband's resignation after Labour's crushing election defeat last week.
